Pop-up Book for Kids

Abstract

Nowadays, with the rapid development of digital media, people are harassed by endless information every day. I am thinking that perhaps the most important thing in this era is not how to get more information, but how to read the information better. Therefore, this is also the original purpose of my project.

Pop-up books are a very effective interactive medium for children. It carries knowledge and an imaginative way to present it to young readers. Children can read independently with limited vocabulary, which will encourage young readers to develop reading habits and are very helpful for concentration training. The content of the book is about oriental legends and stories. The source of the myth is based on an ancient book called ‘Classic of Mountains and Seas’, which records a large number of Eastern myths and ghosts.

  • The purpose of the first phase was to get familiar with pop-up elements. At this phase, I made some pop-up elements through simple to complex exercises, which will help me in the next phases of research.
